With more than a dozen parks within a short distance of each other, there is no shortage of entertainment options in Orlando. Theme parks are the center of Orlando’s entertainment scene and offer a variety of attractions to satisfy all tastes, from thrill seekers to families to foodies.

A visit to the most visited theme parks in the world is the best way to make unforgettable memories. Orlando’s top parks offer endless adventures and unforgettable moments that will be treasured forever.

Universal Orlando Resort is one of the largest theme parks in the world. The resort includes two theme parks and a hotel. The resort opened on May 28, 1999. Universal CityWalk Orlando is a pedestrian entertainment and retail district that connects the two theme parks. It is built over a former parking lot and entrance to Universal Studios. Guests enter CityWalk via covered moving walkways over Universal Boulevard.

Guests can explore eight distinct “islands” – Marvel Super Hero Island, Toon Lagoon, Skull Island, Jurassic Park, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, Lost Continent and Seuss Landing. In addition to the islands, Universal CityWalk also features a concert venue, restaurants and shops.

Theme park fans are eagerly awaiting 2024, the year that the new Harry Potter-themed area opens at Universal Islands of Adventure. Since the opening of the first HP-themed world at Universal Studios in 2010, the parks have experienced a dramatic rise in attendance. Universal Orlando President Jim Grismer said that he expects this trend to continue in 2024, when the new Potter land is expected to draw crowds comparable to Avengers Endgame.

Other popular attractions in the Orlando area include the Orlando Eye, SEA LIFE Aquarium and Madame Tussauds. The Orlando Eye offers amazing views of the city from more than 380 feet above ground. Guests can enjoy the 360-degree view from the observation deck or take a ride on one of the interactive experiences. SEA LIFE Aquarium is home to thousands of sea creatures and the only underwater tunnel in Florida.

Guests can meet and greet with popular characters at the various theme parks in Orlando. Guests can also dine with characters at the resort hotels and at select restaurants in the CityWalk and theme park areas. Guests can also catch a glimpse of the cast members at special events and during parades in the Magic Kingdom. In addition, a wide range of character-themed merchandise can be found throughout the area.
